National Science Week 2011National Science Week is Australia’s largest festival, celebrating science, innovation, mathematics, engineering and technology. Held annually in August, and now in its fourteenth year, National Science Week welcomes an audience of over a million and hosts more than 1000 events across the nation. 

 

National Science Week:
• Celebrates our talents and achievements in science, innovation, mathematics, engineering and technology
in Australia;
• Provides an opportunity for all Australians to participate in events and activities that showcase science;
• Demonstrates how science is interesting, challenging, important and of direct relevance to our daily lives,
the well-being of society and the environmentally sustainable growth of our economy.

This year's national project is the Multi-Tasking test, a fun interactive test designed by experts, to help gain a better understanding of how the brain copes with multi-tasking. Prizes to be won! Closes September 12, 2011.
