The Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest (GYMC) is a global competition for young people organized on the occasion of United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20 Earth Summit) to be held in June 2012 in Brazil.

GYMC encourages youth to express their hopes, concerns and thoughts on future of our earth by using music. The con-test aims to collect musical messages from global youth exploring global solu-tions for sustainable development. The first prizes winners of each category will be rewarded with a trip to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June 2012 and make the voices of global youth heard during a public performance they will give to share the message of global youth.

Youth between 15 and 30 and Children under 14 years are eligible to partici-pate. Deadline to submit your video music online is 15 February 2012 at midnight GMT.
