National Buddy Week is an initiative of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, aiming to highlight the importance of friendships and the need to prevent bullying in Australian schools, workplaces and in cyberspace by providing an opportunity to discuss bullying and celebrate friendships.
The week will comprise a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and funds to support The Alannah and Madeline Foundation in keeping children safe from violence.
More information coming soon.
Funds can also also be donated direct to The Foundation via www.amf.org.au
Bullying Solutions Seminars have been developed for teachers, educators and the community.
Additionally, schools around Australia are being encouraged to register for “Buddy Picnics”, based on the idea of children having fun with their buddies, schools can register their picnic on the website.
